All in a potter's day...

Before departing Centennial, I had the opportunity to watch some accomplished potters (Bill, Marsha, Alan and Debbie) fire up the wood kiln and transform clay objects

into beautiful pottery
What an experience!

A multiple day process…preparing and loading the kiln, warming the bricks, starting the fire at wee hours of the morning, continued stoking throughout the day to reach temperatures above 2,000 Fahrenheit, salting and more stoking, and then two days waiting for the cool down period and finally, the unveiling.
