Life is good!

The Aliner had a few warranty items in need of attention; therefore, bright and early, I hit the road with the Venzaliner for a “three hour tour” from Anderson’s Cove in Walker, MN to Elk River RV in Elk River, MN.  No, the weather didn’t start to get rough but rather it was a beautiful sunny day. Since I was traveling in the area I once lived, I reminisced the days of high school as I was driving by Little Falls, Rice, Royalton, and St. Cloud. A flashback to the 70’s where I spent my high school years in the small town of Burtrum, MN (just a speck on the map, maybe), attended Grey Eagle Public School (graduating class of 48 if my memory serves me correct) and traveled to many of these towns for basketball and volleyball.

With the radio blasting 70’s on 7, the songs just melded together. Those Were the Days My Friend when there was Lotta Love and Fooling Around. Stop, Wait a Minute Mister Postman, Let’s take the Stairway to Heaven and Imagine What’s Going On at Hotel California. Sooner or Later it’s Saturday, the Right Time of the Night. Let’s Stay Together while crossing the Bridge Over Troubled Water and Remember When Papa Was A Rolling Stone? Well, The Boys Are Back in Town and Oh What a Night, that Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown went Running Against The Wind like a Rocket Man or was it a Rubberband Man.  Oh the Memories from Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Marvin Gaye, The Doors, Led Zeplin, James Brown, Blondie, ABBA, Billy Joel, John Lennon, Rod Stewart, The Police, The Eagles, Paul Simon, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, The Who, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, KC and the Sunshine Band, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce and many more! Music certainly helps a person flashback to the teenage years when there were no real cares in the world. Wait, I guess some things don’t change…30+ years later on a Venzaliner50 journey; not a real care in the world except to get the warranty work complete.

Back to today…what an awesome experience; now I know why Elk RiverRV is the 2010 and 2011 top dealer for Aliner. Loren Jr. did an awesome job swapping out the AC, checking out the refrigerator and attending to a few minor details that were not even on my list. Loren Jr & Loren Sr from Elk River RV are the type of people you meet on a Venzaliner50 journey…friendly, honest, dependable, hardworking, caring people. An hour and a half later I was back on the road; awesome job Elk River RV and thank you for the excellent and speedy service.
